About the Role

 

In this role you would act as the key go-to on compliance risks and matters with P&C & L&H Reinsurance senior management, establishing trusted relationships, you will be providing enabling advice on projects, transactions and business-as-usual identifying and managing risk. You will act as regulatory appointed Compliance Officer in jurisdictions where required, including reporting to P&C & L&H Committees and point of contact for regulators in coordination with Regulatory Risk Management. In addition, you will de deputising for the Chief Compliance Officer as required and drive the Legal & Compliance strategic and function objectives as part of the Legal & Compliance Executive Team.

 

Key responsibilities also include:

 

  • Actively support the Compliance strategy and participate in the Compliance Management Team

  • Report on regulatory development and Compliance risk exposure

  • Develop tailored trainings, communications and targeted policy and framework documents where needed; and support the implementation of new global standards within P&C & L&H Reinsurance

  • Receive, identify and report issues, losses & Incidents and provide remediation recommendations

  • Support the Control Functions working in close collaboration with Group Internal Audit and Risk Management

 

 

About the Team

 

We serve in a dual capacity in a governance and regulatory capacity as well as a client enabling function proudly supporting all P&C & L&H Reinsurance Market Units and functions across Swiss Re.  We are a diverse, talented group of people with teams in every major Swiss Re location around the world.  The team provides valuable oversight across the whole Reinsurance lifecycle, including touchpoints with Capital Markets, Public Sector Solutions and Digital Development.

 

 

About You

 

With your strong track record in managing compliance operations, you bring excellent analytical skills enabling a results-based workstyle with solid interpersonal skills helping you influence in a complex cross-functional environment.  You have a high sense of responsibility, initiative and are reliable and a sharp understanding of control processes.

 

Additional requirements:

 

  • Ideally more than 10 years compliance, legal, or risk management experience, preferably in a financial services company

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Compliance Risks with a global or multi location lens

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Reinsurance industry

  • Proven record of talent development and motivation of strong performance from teams

  • Depth and understanding of technology in its usage for efficiency and improvement gains in compliance programs

  • Sound judgment and the ability to balance professional independence with client service #LI-Hybrid
