Director Cybersecurity & Risk, Advisors Client Services, Strategy & Transformation

Mastercard Advisors, the professional services arm of Mastercard Worldwide, provides payments-focused consulting, marketing, information and risk management services to financial institutions and merchants worldwide. Role Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced, senior hire with a strong background in cybersecurity services and consulting within the Financial Institution (Banking, Processing, Acquiring, FinTech, etc.) segment. The Director is a Subject Matter Expert designation and is the main interface to Mastercard clients.

The Director is responsible for leading and managing large complex cybersecurity engagements for major MCA accounts across Europe. Additionally, the role is responsible for client relationship management and building on the relationship to engage in consultative sales to develop the accounts and grow the Mastercard footprint for consulting services.

Specifically, the role is responsible for:
• Delivering large consulting projects leveraging Mastercard Cyber solutions including, but not limited to, program/project management, management of deal economics and client relationships
• Developing strategies and programs for large, strategically important regional and global clients
• Implementation of Mastercard cyber technologies
• Acting as client partner to communicate strategies and methods to achieve client’s goals while acting as a trusted advisor to the clients they serve
• Maintaining an ongoing relationship with client executives and identified economic buyers within the client organization
• Partnering with internal key stakeholders and global practice/product leads to suggest new offerings and/or potential refinements to existing offerings to increase sales opportunities
• Supporting efforts to position Mastercard as thought leaders in the Cyber industry and helping to establish Mastercard as a leader in cybersecurity


Knowledge and Skillset:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in:
• Providing industry-leading practices in cyber risk management and regulatory compliance
• Leveraging knowledge of common regulatory requirements such as DORA, NIS2, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SG MAS, HK MAS, GLBA, NY DFS etc. as well as industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, COBIT, COSO and PCI
• Managing and overseeing large projects involving information security, technology risk management, cybersecurity, or cyber risk management

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in:

• Designing and implementing enterprise-wide cyber risk governance frameworks
• Developing detailed business risk scenarios and cyber threat models
• Assessing enterprise-wide business risks and cyber threats
• Designing and implementing cyber risk management controls
• Monitoring and reporting of cyber risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
• Designing KRIs and metrics to build risk reports for management
• Developing, implementing, and testing incident response, disaster recovery and cyber resiliency plans
• Using tools and technology to provide data analytics and business intelligence on cyber threats, risk, and vulnerabilities
• Developing cyber risk management strategies and operating models for clients
• Building and operationalizing complex cybersecurity and cyber risk management programs for clients
• Preparing concise and accurate documents, leveraging, and utilizing MS Office to complete related project deliverables
• Managing project financials in line with agreed-upon budgets
• Creating a positive working environment by monitoring and managing workloads of the team – balancing client expectations with the work-life quality of team members
• Keeping leadership and engagement management informed of progress and issues

• Knowledge of Business Process: Leads integration of multiple business factors to develop differentiating strategies that promote transformational approaches in growing the business and deliver superior solutions at Mastercard
• Knowledge in Financial Services: Exposure in payments and / or retail banking or merchants preferred
• Technical skills: Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required.
• Education: Undergraduate degree (graduate business degree preferred)
• CISM, CISSP, CISA, CGEIT, C-RISC, CEH, Security+, GSEC (one or more preferred)
