Your role:

As a Head of Information Security, you will coach and grow a team of engineers who are responsible for our infrastructure security, ISO and SOX compliance, desktop security, and overall business security processes and training. Security is not the sole responsibility of the Information Security team, so you will work closely with our development, infrastructure, and support teams to address company security needs, ensuring that our company is proactive in addressing information security risks. With your expertise and drive, you will continuously strive for improvements and help to build a company culture where “information security is everyone’s job”. Senior Leadership has provided strong support for the team. With that support a recent expansion of the InfoSec team has occurred, allowing for a larger security roadmap.

Your responsibilities:

  • Investigate security issues and track down their source; create mitigation plans; when appropriate, document any findings for future reference (and learning)
  • Maintaining and improving our ISMS based on ISO27001; keeping the organization in compliance with GDPR and ePrivacy; management and improvement of our risk management framework
  • Support and improve our secure SDLC practices, automated security tests in CI/CD pipelines, and software vulnerability management framework
  • Implement and administer our IDS using best practices for the solution
  • Assist the entire organization with security advice and awareness activities
  • Drive ISO 27001 and SOX audit compliance for areas of your responsibility; partner with external auditors and security consultants as needed to maintain compliance
  • Mentor and develop your engineering talent - career coaching, and consistent performance management are key parts of this role

What you bring:

  • Solid people management experience (Min 3+ years) leading tech leads / managers of infrastructure, or software engineers
  • Proven experience with industry standard security and risk frameworks/standards/laws/regulations: ISO27001, ISO27002, GDPR, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, PCI, etc.
  • Ability to understand shifting requirements and articulate deliverable adjustments
  • Strong technical acumen to apply first-principles thinking to proposed solutions
  • Experience in driving cross-functional alignment and influencing without authority
  • History of building and transforming engineering teams that innovate rapidly, deliver results, and ready the business for next-levels of scale
  • Experience in a large, complex environment
  • Familiar with or willing to learn the following technologies: Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Gentoo Linux
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience navigating a large organization and generating buy-in for plans
  • A clear understanding of information security’s role inside our business - that it is vital to partner with the business on effective security measures, not block the business

What’s in it for you:

  • Opportunity to make an impact on the ad-tech industry working for a forward-thinking leader in the space
  • International, diverse teams with a strong focus on transparency, feedback and fun
  • Education budget for ongoing professional development & continuous learning
