The Headlines:   

In the role of Data Privacy & Compliance Manager working in Milwaukee, WI you will be a critical part of the Americas Legal, Ethics & Compliance and Government Affairs team.  You will help enhance our data privacy program, operationalize legal and regulatory requirements and support projects that further our Generative Artificial Intelligence initiatives.

 

This position reports to the Assistant General Counsel – Privacy and works closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Marketing, I.T., Information Security, H.R., and colleagues across the US, U.K., and EMEA/APAC.

 

 

The Responsibilities: 

 

  • Maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of privacy regulatory compliance requirements to ensure policy, processes, and tools are in place to comply with privacy regulations.
  • Responds to and resolves inquiries and issues relating to data privacy practices, data subject access requests, withdrawal of consent, the right to be forgotten, and related rights.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and corrective action plans for solution of issues.
  • Collaborate with other business areas to ensure data privacy issues are identified and addressed at the outset of new projects, products, and initiatives.
  • Perform ongoing risk assessments to maintain adequate coverage of significant compliance risks in the program.
  • Monitors industry and regulatory landscape for evolutions, trends, and best practices related to data privacy to ensure the effectiveness of the data protection / data protection program.

 

 

The Other Qualifications: 

 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4+ years) in the field of data privacy; Juris Doctor a plus.
  • You have a strong grasp of relevant data protection and privacy laws and practices.
  • CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, or other privacy or cybersecurity certifications preferred.
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.  
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments.  
  • You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow.
