Manager, Threat Analysts (Philippines)

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Threat Analysts, the Manager, Threat Analysts will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Philippines Phishing Defense Center in the Manilla Office, and provide guidance, leadership, and mentorship to our team of Security Threat Analysts, as well as establish and maintain excellent customer relations with our PDC internal and external customers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide local leadership to a team of threat analysts tasked with identifying threats that impact our Customers
- Establish and maintain a schedule for the Philippines PDC team to ensure that all shifts are properly covered
- Interview, hire, and train additional Philippines Threat Analysts to ensure that the quality and quantity of work being done is up to the Cofense standard
- Manage customer relations to meet excellent satisfactory ratings
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Threat Analysts on all matters related to the PDC
- Serve as escalation point for in-depth analysis of phishing threats reported by the customer
- Identify malicious nature of the threat and provide details and guidance to the customer on how to mitigate the threat
- Maintain ownership of cases opened for customers including updating cases, communicating with the customer, and documenting resolution
- Serve as subject matter expert during life cycle of customer relationship
- Oversees team’s activities to ensure investigations stay on target and provide value to our customers
- Ensure high availability and quality of service
- Proactively identify and propose solutions to improve services
- Ensures quality of all customer reports
- Work with manager to develop and maintain adequate processes and procedures to ensure service delivery and documentation
- Leads team development and growth by providing appropriate training and mentoring
- Represents the team in various cross functional projects at a time
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Ability to take work outside of normal business hours as needed to support a 24x7 business model
- Ability to take holiday shifts for additional holiday pay as required
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team or service
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions that derive favorable outcomes
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in a high paced environment
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and creative problem-solving techniques
- Strong knowledge of how phishing campaigns are created, used, and maximized for profit
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Cyber Security and Cyber Incident Response
- Team Management background along with threat investigations experience in areas including malware analysis and email analysis.
- Having cybersecurity certifications is looked upon favorable especially CEH, GCIA, Security+, MCSA/MCSE, VCP, CCNA/CCNE, Network+, A+, CCSP, AWS Architect, etc.
