WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Review, analyze and classify emails reported to us by our customer's employees into per-defined buckets
• Identify threats targeting our customers and their employees
•  Highlight "Indicators of Compromise" inside malicious emails that our customers can utilize to search for/ block additional malicious emails
•  Manage the queues for our customers reported emails to ensure timely responses are sent back
• Attempt to identify interesting or unique malicious incidents and highlight these for team leadership and management
•  Look for areas of improvement in our current systems and processes and bring these up to management or team leadership as necessary
• Training new Security Analysts on team processes/ procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant education or experience relating to computer science or information systems
• Intermediate knowledge of Internet innerworkings such as IP subnetting, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, etc.
• Intermediate understanding of email deliverability, email headers, and email security controls, such as SPF or DKIM.
• Intermediate knowledge of common internet attacks to include various types of fraud, scam, and social engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Security Analyst I - SEA on the Suspicious Email Analysis team.
