We currently have exciting opportunities for Consultants and Senior Consultants across our Audit, Assurance & Risk Consulting division.

Banarra

Our Banarra team is KPMG Australia’s specialist human rights and social impact advisory team. We work with businesses, government, and not-for-profits to understand complex social issues, risks and opportunities and develop and implement practical responses to create sustainable positive change. KPMG Banarra plays a distinct and vital role in helping solve important social issues, using our unique skills and expertise to help create positive and lasting impacts for our communities.

Sustainability

Our sustainability team works with organisations to help them manage the risks and opportunities associated with non-financial issues, and to enhance all aspects of reporting and communication. We also provide assurance services for overall non-financial disclosures to enhance the credibility of reported information.

Internal Audit

Our Governance, Risk and Controls Advisory (GRCA) team works with the boards and management of Australia’s largest and most successful companies to support their strategic and operational priorities, protect against threats and build resilience into the future. Our team consult on a wide range of risk advisory projects, including assessment through reviews, internal audits of ways in which governance, processes and risks are managed, and assisting landmark clients in measuring and improving business performance.

Risk Strategy & Technology

Our Risk Strategy & Technology team is dedicated to helping clients achieve commercial outcomes by viewing risk management as a lever for enhanced innovation, reputation, and sustainable growth. Our areas of expertise include Risk Strategy, Governance and Risk Culture & Conduct.

Privacy & Data Protection

Our Compliance and Conduct team support clients to navigate existing privacy and data protection laws and prepare for new ones. We provide clients with deep insights and advice on the industry and regulatory best practices as well as assisting our clients to use their data in a compliant and ethical way.

Compliance & Conduct

Our Conduct and Compliance team are looking for a highly talented conduct professional with strong industry conduct experience to join our successful and rapidly growing team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality conduct advisory services to a variety of organisations across financial services and other industries.

  • You are a people-person with a love of sharing your risk, internal audit, internal controls, financial and regulatory reporting, or assurance insights, tailoring your communication appropriately for subject matter experts and clients who want to learn more.
  • You have a can-do attitude and are always seeking creative solutions to problems with the help of the right technical tools and a supportive team.
  • You are a project management pro, with a love of big-picture thinking and the skills to see projects from beginning to end; such as establishing project details, performance measurement baselines, key milestones, work breakdown structures, and resource planning.

Banarra

  • Expertise in ethical sourcing, sustainable procurement, local procurement, human rights due diligence, impact assessment, modern slavery, rights of Indigenous Peoples, cultural heritage, or gender-based violence and diversity & inclusion.
  • Understanding of how to implement relevant methodologies across human rights, modern slavery, responsible sourcing and social procurement
  • An up to date understanding of modern social impact issues and human rights policies as they apply both in Australia and Globally

Sustainability

  • Excellent knowledge in sustainability risk management, compliance and reporting
  • General sustainability technical expertise across a range of areas including climate, water, waste, air quality and biodiversity, with a strong skillset in infrastructure, government and energy and natural resource
  • Development, implementation and review of environmental, climate and sustainability strategy, targets and initiatives including Key Performance Indicators

Internal Audit

  • Expertise in internal audit, risk or internal controls ideally gained in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • A strong understanding of governance, risk and controls and an ability to think strategically. 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification, with CA/CPA/CIA being highly regarded.

Risk Strategy & Technology

  • Hold a graduate degree and have a strong risk management or regulatory background
  • You will have a wealth of relevant experience ideally gained in a Professional Services or major financial institution
  • Knowledge of best practice risk management methodology while driving a culture of high performance and ethical business practices.

Compliance & Conduct

  • Industry qualifications (completed or in progress) such as Certificate IV in Compliance and Risk Management.
  • One to four years’ experience in risk and/or compliance roles in any sector and/or within consultancy, including with regulatory bodies, and experience in the application of regulatory and industry standards, including ISO 19600 – Compliance Management Systems and/or ISO 31000- Risk Management.
  • Experience in designing, implementing and/or carrying out compliance management practices, across; consumer credit, conduct risk, regulatory change, compliance management, privacy & data security and/or financial advice compliance

Privacy & Data Protection

  • Experience in the application of regulatory and industry standards including the Privacy Act 1988 and General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and advising client organisations regarding local and/or global privacy obligations, regulations, risks and trends, with a particular focus on privacy obligations.
  • Tertiary and/or industry qualifications (completed or in progress) such as IAPP (CIPM/ CIPP/ CIPT) and/ or ISACA Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certification, will be viewed favourably
  • Delivery experience in a privacy, cyber and data security or data protection advisory role, with knowledge of Privacy and/or general compliance framework reviews for clients across various industries, focusing on framework design and effectiveness, monitoring and surveillance activities.

Contract Assurance & Performance

  • Knowledge around contract management, procurement processes and complex commercial agreements ideally gained in a consulting environment, with an assurance/audit background
  • Exposure to varied industry sectors including any or all the following – Energy and Natural Resources, Defence, Government, Retail or Financial Services working in an assurance, audit or contract management capacity.
  • Tertiary qualification(s), preferably commerce or law related (completed or in progress external qualifications - CA/CPA/CIA/IACCM will be viewed favourably)

Please note, the salary ranges $60k - $110k+ with respect to your level of experience.
