Job Description
Visa Inc. is expanding our services and products both organically and through acquisitions. The Corporate Technology Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration Management Office (IMO) Team leads the transition of acquired companies into our existing technology stack. We are seeking an experienced and proactive M&A Technical Lead, adept at navigating intricate scenarios and delivering results through an innovative mindset. This role involves collaboration with a global team, requiring proficiency in managing cultural variances, overcoming time zone challenges, and bridging communication gaps. The lead will be responsible for the comprehensive technical integration of an acquisition, serving as the primary point of contact for all technical delivery aspects. The role demands a dual focus on enhancing employee experience and expediting delivery to facilitate crucial business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define integration scope and align with business functions and the acquisition team.
- Evaluate the current technical state of the acquisition and develop strategies and technical requirements for integration with our technology stack.
- Work with business functions to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Identify and address technical and business interdependencies related to requirements and/or technical solutions/architecture.
- Ensure seamless integration of technologies, maintaining a positive user experience and productivity through robust testing, documentation, communication, and collaboration.
- Create comprehensive technical diagrams to facilitate understanding and decision-making.
- Influence and drive technical decisions across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Display strong leadership skills, guiding the team toward successful integration.
- Partner closely with Change Management, IT Service Management, and End User Support teams to transition acquisitions to steady state.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for technical integration planning/challenges related to Finance and Human Resource enterprise systems.
- Challenge the status quo and seek out opportunities to improve technology and processes.
- Establish key results (KRs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure integration activities and outcomes.
- Coach and mentor junior team members.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD.
- Advanced expertise in either finance or HR systems, with the ability to serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the integration program.
- Proficient in creating comprehensive technical documents, including technical discovery summaries, architectural diagrams, detailed technical requirements, and supporting documentation for change management.
- Familiarity with software development workflows, tools, and best practices.
- Familiarity with MS 365 technologies.
- Understanding of corporate technology infrastructure.
- Awareness of cybersecurity tools and best practices, with experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g., PCI-DSS compliant organizations).
- Understanding of Finance and Human Resources business processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex problems into understandable solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to drive alignment across multiple groups.
- Previous experience in technical integration for mergers and acquisitions.
- Experience with migrations from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
- Experience with migrations from Slack to Microsoft Teams migrations.
- Knowledge of identity and access management technologies.
- Understanding of cybersecurity endpoint technologies.
- Proficiency with both Mac and Windows OS.
