Customers such as Airbnb, Viber, Whatsapp, Snapchat, and many others depend on our APIs and SDKs to connect with their customers all over the world.

Why this role matter:
As Vonage API Platform global communication networks and channels grow the greater the need for implementing carrier and country regulation changes and fraud management to stop bad actors using our platform.

We are looking for a Product Manager to build a new portfolio of customer vetting and related fraud and compliance capabilities to enable the business to scale.

This is a pivotal role in the Product Team working transversely with our Product Managers and business owners to solve and assist in the implementation of software based Fraud and Regulations requirements.

We are looking for a telecom Regulatory or Compliance expert wanting to expand their experience and grow into a critical role covering all areas supporting all products that have security, regulatory or compliance requirements.

What you will do:

  • Own the strategy of Vonage Compliance roadmap by working with Carrier, Security, Legal, and individual Product Managers to provide solutions and manage delivery
  • Own and deliver the roadmap, with individual Product Managers, key regulatory changes such as Stir/Shaken, 10DLC (over channels such as voice or SMS) and backend systems such as KYC.
  • Create and manage the processes to manage regulatory requests across the business with communications working coordinating with individual Product Managers with delivery
  • Assist with identifying solutions to address regulatory, compliance or fraud requirements
  • Design and monitor control systems to deal with violations of legal rules and internal policies

What you will bring:

  • Experience working on-the-ground delivering compliance solutions for SaaS providers or similar services
  • Subject matter expertise on local telecoms regulations globally, fraud attack vectors and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of software development and processes within security and compliance realm
  • Ability to work with different stakeholders across the business from software Engineers through to Finance, Security, Legal and Operations teams

What is required for application:
Required

  • Strong knowledge and experience in areas including regulations, KYC, and Data Sovereignty, Cloud Security
  • Previous experience of working with engineers to identify and implement fraud and compliance fixes and solutions
  • Strong knowledge in data protection and compliance, security-oriented cloud services, fraud vector analytics, and threat detection and prevention
  • Proven experience working as a business subject matter expert or in a technical capacity within fraud & regulations
  • Minimum 05+ years experience in a relevant sector and function
  • Minimum 05+ years of Product or Operational Management experience
  • Experience in telco, cloud or finance industries preferred 

Desired

  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
  • An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations

Certified compliance professional is a plus

  • Experience with Agile methodologies & tools (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence and project management tools
  • Experience of working with API based services
  • Able to work with data in formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, etc.
