An active TS/SCI clearance is required for consideration for this opportunity. A CI Poly will be required soon after starting this engagement.

Work will be performed 100% onsite in northern VA. 

Overall Assignment Description: Provide Security Architect Security Engineering support documentation to Cyber Security projects and programs led by the Security Engineering Division and provide informational and decisional briefs, white papers, architecture-and-engineering-development-, and implementation-plans the Contractor to have practical experience designing, engineering and implementing.

Duties shall include, but are not limited to:

  • Support Cybersecurity activities for the service-oriented architecture (SOA) and service-centric architecture (SCA). Cybersecurity Engineering support in the performance of Security Architecture tasks.
  • Frequency of tasks are weekly, unless otherwise specified. Document and address organization's information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition life cycle.
  • Develop and maintain new Cybersecurity Architecture in coordination with the Enterprise Architecture team with a minimum of quarterly updates.
  • Develop and maintain the existing cybersecurity Architecture in coordination with the Enterprise Architecture team.
  • Ensure that acquired or developed system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with organization's cybersecurity architecture guidelines.
  • Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and develop a security risk management plan.
  • Analyze candidate architectures, allocate security services, and select security mechanisms. Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition documents.
  • Develop enterprise architecture or system components required to meet user/enterprise needs. Coordinate with systems architects and developers, as needed, to provide oversight in the development of design solutions.
  • Support the Cybersecurity Architecture for projects and initiatives, to include information and decision briefing development and presentation in designated forums.
  • Collaborate with both Government and assigned contract staff in Cybersecurity Architecture mission ad-hoc interchanges. A monthly average occurrence.
  • Create and submit bi-weekly comprehensible WAR reports to support Cybersecurity Directorate, CIO-T, and ODNI level.
  • Professionally interact with senior-level directors and/or agency heads. Demonstrate keen interpersonal and customer service, data gathering, analysis, effective management and organization, competent oral and written skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Plan and lead sub-tasks/projects.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • The Contractor shall be DoDI 8570 Level II Certified (IA - SAE)
  • The Contractor shall have a breadth of technical expertise to include physical, virtualized, and cloud computing, as well as a strong understanding of computer networking.
  • Experience with continuous service / process improvement. Minimum 8 years' experience providing general or specialized Cybersecurity support to Intelligence Community and Department of Defense offices and programs.
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years IT experience or 11-14 years' experience within Computer Science/Cyber Security.

Desired:

  • Relevant skills for using modern data analysis techniques (ex. Python and/or other scripts), for relevant security data and information.
  • CISSP concentration - ISSEP, ISSAP or ISSMP.
  • Amazon Solutions Architect Certification.
  • Technical certificates from Enterprise network provider (e.g. Cisco) and or Global Information Assurance Certification, (GIAC).
  • Relevant skills for using modern data analysis techniques (ex. Python and/or other scripts), for relevant security data and information.
