IT Security Analyst Intern

Your impact:

Spekit is looking for a self-starting individual to work alongside our Head of Security. The role will involve exposing the intern to all aspects of a corporate security function, and allowing them to have their hands in any areas of interest.

What you'll get to do every day: 

• Working with external vendors to implement new tools to optimize adoption for Security team
• Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
• Spearheading specific projects to transition from manual process to automated process
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings with leadership
• Help ensure incremental security improvements by working to configure tools including  KnowBe4 (Phish Testing and Training), and TrustPage (TPRM), Vanta (Compliance), and Snyk (SAST/DAST),

What you’ll need to be successful on Day 1:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, or a related field
• Interest in considering a career in IT Security or Risk/Compliance
• Technical aptitude to learn new tools 
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Timely, effective communication using multiple channels; excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Assertive and curious personality
• Ability and desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and continually evolving environment
