SOC Analyst Tier 1- Orlando, FL

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's information systems and data against security threats. Working within the SOC, you will monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's digital assets. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

As a SOC Analyst Tier 1, your main responsibility is to monitor security alerts and incidents, triage incoming alerts, and escalate issues as necessary. You'll conduct initial investigations, analyze security events, and provide first-level response to potential security incidents. Collaborating closely with other members of the SOC team, you'll document incident details and actions taken, as well as ensure timely communication with stakeholders. Your role also involves maintaining and updating standard operating procedures, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of the SOC processes and tools. Through your vigilance and quick response, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's assets and data against cyber threats.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Monitor, analyze and triage systems and events across Windows, macOS and Linux in a 24x7 operations environment and escalate to the Tier II Analyst as needed. 
  • Identify suspicious/malicious activity spanning Firewalls, Office 365 & Azure AD. 
  • Perform deep-dive incident analysis by correlating data from various sources and determining if a critical system is affected.  
  • Perform static and dynamic malware analysis. 
  • Perform incident detection, response & remediation. 
  • Address and Resolve Managed SOC tickets. 
  • Perform technical tasks without supervision.  

  WHAT YOU’LL BRING:    

  • Bachelors in Cybersecurity, Management and Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields. 
  • Security+ (minimum), SSCP, CEH (a plus). 
  • Knowledge of various firewalls, syslog, and other network log formats. 
  • Familiar with PowerShell, Python, CMD etc. 
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours including nights and weekends. 
  • Must be authorized to work within the US and pass a background check.
