Duties and Responsibilities

Review server and network appliance logs to identify developing issues and proactively respond under the guidance of the senior systems administrator. Function as the primary responder for security related issues. Manage on-premises and Office 365 resources and provide desktop support on TIII complex issues. Assist in developing a comprehensive IT ecosystem security strategy and end user training.

Primary Responsibilities

Security Administration

  • Review the following logs and respond as needed.

o   Windows Server security logs

o   Network Appliance logs

o   Azure resource logs

o   SentinelOne logs

o   Azure Sentinel sources logs

  • Respond to Azure Sentinel Alerts
  • Coordinate with IT Team when the need arises to respond to security threats and incidents.
  • Research rising threats and assist senior management in updating the security strategy, policies, and user training to maintain a secure IT ecosystem.
  • Prepare security incidents postmortem reports for documentation purposes.
  • Enforce resource access permissions matrix and governance policies.

Server Administration

  • Review Windows Server logs and respond as needed.
  • Respond to Azure Monitor alerts.

Secondary Responsibilities

Systems Administration

  • Deploy and administer on premises desktops, servers, printers, network devices, and services.
  • Deploy and administer Office 365 resources (users, mailboxes, groups etc).
  • Assist in the administration of Active Directory Services, Domain Name Services, Distributed File System, and Anti-Malware services.
  • Perform after hours maintenance and support.

 

Desktop Support

  • Create, assign, and resolve help desk tickets.
  • Provide help desk support and resolve issues by consulting with relevant subject matter experts.
  • Assist local and remote users with technology related issues.
  • Assist and train the technology specialists in resolving complex technology related issues.

 

Documentation

  • Create and Maintain infrastructure documentation using tools like Visio

 

Other Duties

  • Travel to other locations as needed (2 – 3 times a year)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Windows 10 and Server 2016 or higher administration experience
  • Office 365 resource administration experience
  • Knowledge of Azure Sentinel
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and Domain Name Services
  • Knowledge of Office 365 Applications in a Windows Active Directory environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.
  • Must be able to lift 55 pounds (CAD workstations and printers).
  • Excellent client-facing skills

 

Required Certifications

CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security +, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator (or equivalent experience)
