Position Description 

As a key member of Strider’s Security Team, you will lead the engineering of technology to enhance the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all products and corporate information systems. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, this is an opportunity to work directly with senior leadership across the company and become a foundational contributor to the evolution of the security program.

Strider seeks a security professional with the desire and vision to lead researching, developing, and deploying security systems in Strider’s information systems and products.

The position offers flexibility and room to develop capabilities outside of the core responsibilities in other security subject matter areas. 

Who You Are 

You are a detail-oriented security engineering professional with a desire to deliver enterprise security through hands-on engineering for corporate technology and internally developed cloud-based products.

You have an opinion about the best way to get things done, and the flexibility to adapt your vision to incorporate the perspective of your peers to enable mission success. 

 Your duties 

• Lead initiatives for engineering security toolsets to maximizing risk reduction for cloud environments, SaaS-based products and endpoints 
• Identify and reduce vulnerabilities in infrastructure, products and internal tools  
• Support identity management across multiple cloud environments 
• Support achievement of compliance with third party standards and assessments through engineering technical controls 
• Automate wherever possible 

What you bring 

• 5+ years experience securing solutions built in a major cloud provider such as AWS or Azure 
• Experience researching, engineering and deploying security tools to reduce risk in endpoints, at the network layer, at the perimeter and in cloud 
• Familiarity with security toolsets such as vulnerability scanners, EDR tools, web application firewalls, application security testing platforms, etc. 
• Experience leading security projects and initiatives 
• Fluency in one or more scripting language such as Python 

 Extra credit 

• Experience implementing Zero-Trust concepts 
• Knowledge of application security and the OWASP Top 10 
• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment 
• Knowledge of DevSecOps
