Responsibilities

PeopleTec is currently seeking a motivated Cyber Security Analyst/System Administrator to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The candidate will conduct analysis of cyber risk assessments to identify, develop, and recommend technical and operational solutions (material and non-material solutions) to mitigate, resolve, or remove security risk. The candidate will also work with information security SMEs, systems engineers, business analysts, network engineers, and software engineers to remediate identified risks and improve cyber resiliency, without introducing additional operational or mission execution risk. Candidate will also be responsible for an Authority to Operate (ATO) under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process using eMASS. The candidate will provide technical support to users regarding data software application and collaborate with IT team members to identify and implement improvements.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proficient in reviewing RMF packages, including System Categorizations, Security Plans, and Authorization Packages.
  • Skilled in monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining systems and procedures to safeguard information systems, networks, and databases.
  • Experience in implementing, enforcing, communicating, and developing security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications, and information systems security education/awareness programs.
  • Possession of cyber security qualifications in accordance with DoD 8570 standards upon employment.
  • Certification in Security+ or Security+ CE.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher, MS SQL Server 2016, and Microsoft IIS 10.
  • Proficiency in managing IIS Server environments and the application deployment process.
  • Ability to manage SQL Server and database environments effectively.
  • Experience in evaluating, developing, and deploying IT system architectures involving both hardware and software components.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions as applicable.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and best practices in system administration.
  • Willingness to assist other teams with related efforts as requested.
  • Strong capability in developing briefings and presentations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to ensuring success.
  • Eagerness to continue learning and growing in the field.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance is mandatory for this role. Candidates must possess an active Secret clearance upon hire and maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited academic institution in a relevant technical discipline.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with RMF, eMASS, and DISA STIGs.
