Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together
 
As a Business Engagement Manager, you will play an integral role in the success of the Cybersecurity program and implementation of new security solutions. You’ll act as a trusted partner to TELUS Health business units across the globe, leading efforts to drive a modern, effective cyber security culture and business engagement model. TELUS Health is a global company and this role will cover engagement with business partners across 160 countries.
 
 

 

 

What you will do
 
•    Collaborate and partner with business/technical/clinical team members across TELUS Health on all strategic and operational guidelines related to Cyber and Information Security.
•    Recruit and lead a small team of security consultants to support business growth opportunities and delivery of priority security initiatives.
•    Drive a global approach to security, aligned to regional cyber security regulations and cultures, which supports both our business and customers.
•    Be a trusted advisor leading strategy and execution of Cybersecurity transformation initiatives for TELUS Health CSO.
•    Facilitate stakeholder needs assessments, solution exploration, and present recommendations to all business client groups. 
•    Influence best practices and processes whilst supporting business growth opportunities.
•    Implement a security champions initiative to help drive cultural change to cyber security and delivery of priority security initiatives.
•    Listen and provide guidance and support to business and operational team members on cybersecurity risks, issues, and decisions. 
•    Innovate to develop cutting edge engagement models for our customers, working closely with our partners in corporate TELUS.
•    Represent CSO at key stakeholder meetings and co-ordinate timely resolution to issues and/or opportunities.
•    Develop and co-ordinate a new taking on work process on behalf of the Information Security team. Provide metrics and reporting to Directors and VP’s.
 
 

Qualifications

 


What you bring
 
•    5 years or more experience in a business consulting, technology advisory, change management, or program development role
•    Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities
•    A positive and dynamic personality, able to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences
•    Proven experience as a people leader, and the ability to transform vision into action
•    People-first approach, active listener, and effective at building rapport and establishing trust with all various levels of leadership and team members
•    Working knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to influence and achieve results without direct authority 
•    Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical ideas into simple solutions that are easy to understand
