Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking a Cyber Threat Analyst to work in Morrisville, NC in support of the Postal CSS program. This position can be 100% remote for strongly qualified candidates.

 

Day to Day Roles and Responsiblities: 

 

Identifies and evaluates the capabilities and actions of cybercriminals or foreign intelligence entities; generates insights to initiate or assist in law enforcement and counterintelligence investigations or operations.

  • Analyze and evaluate the capabilities and operations of cybercriminals and foreign intelligence entities to support law enforcement and counterintelligence efforts.
  • Generate findings to initiate or bolster investigations and activities in the field.
  • Identify and create threat signatures using various data sources.
  • Manage threat indicators within the threat intelligence platform.
  • Establish and maintain standard procedures for incident response.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Information System Security Officers and Incident Response Teams.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 2 years of work experience, master's degree with 0+ years work experience or high school diploma/GED with 6+ years work experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen, or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
  • Experience with security operations and incident response
  • Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms, security information and event management (SIEM) tools, and other cybersecurity technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance

  • Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.

  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members

Certifications of at least ONE or more of the following:

  • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • CISM - Certified Information Security Manager
  • SABSA - Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture
  • GIAC - Global Information Assurance Certification

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
