Security Analyst - Southwest region (Remote in SoCal, NV, UT, or AZ)

Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our cybersecurity services delivery team, focusing on the protection of customer information systems against cyber threats. Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing, managing, and troubleshooting security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Crafting and refining security-focused content for SIEM, including threat detection algorithms and operational dashboards.
• Conducting thorough assessments of client environments to devise robust security strategies adhering to industry best practices.
• Engaging with Managed Detection and Response (MDR) providers to enhance threat detection, analysis, and response capabilities. This includes facilitating seamless communication and information exchange between internal teams and the MDR provider.
• Developing scripts and automation tools in BASH, Perl, Python, or Java, with a proficiency in regular expressions.

Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in security engineering, particularly with Next-Generation Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and Malware Prevention.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK is crucial.
• Previous experience working with cloud security, virtual infrastructure, and endpoint security will be advantageous.
