Security Consultant – Workforce Architecture & Skills Lead – Middle East

 

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence has been contracted to deliver a National Cyber Security Programme in the Middle East as a client side strategic advisor.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a best of breed capability delivery team that will deliver a National Programme to enhance a Nations Cyber Security posture.  The role is based in the Middle East on assignment for 12 months so there are no options for hybrid working as the majority of time will be spend on client site.

 

As Workforce Architecture and Skills Lead you will be responsible for the production and authoring of a range of National Level Cyber Security Policies including skills frameworks, certification and accreditation standards and the production of National Cyber Security Strategy.

 

About the job:

 

The Workforce Architecture Lead will have a wide range of responsibilities within the project including the following:

 

  • The production of a National Cyber skills framework aligned to agreed international best practise such as CIISEC, NICE or ENISA cyber skills frameworks.
  • The production a national cyber workforce architecture and approach to skills and training
  • The production of an organisational workforce architecture for a National Cyber Security Centre in line with the national cyber skills framework.
  • Ensuring alignment of National skills strategy Policy with the aligned and selected international best practise, legal and regulatory frameworks and organisational objectives and goals.
  • Stakeholder management to ensure the strategy meets all National stakeholder requirements and is written so that it is accepted and implementable.
  • Development of requirements for future activities aligned to the capability roadmap.
  • Mentoring client skills team and supporting the client with any maturity assessments, security audits.
  • Taking responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects (typically with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies).
  • Identifying early on if problems/risks arise that will affect delivery and manages these appropriately. Understands which risks can be converted into (new) opportunities.
  • Leading multiple teams and/or deliverables with responsibility for delivering to plan (e.g. prioritising and organising multiple activities).

 

 

Your experience and skills will include:

 

  • Substantial experience working at a National Policy level or production of organisational policies for CISO/CIO.
  • Experience working with UK or other International Government departments, ideally the UK NCSC or foreign equivalents.
  • Experience in establishing and setting up cyber skills programs
  • Client side consulting, including stakeholder engagement and the ability to communicate insights and concepts to others (including briefing skills and report writing), having and maintaining Credibility is essential.
  • Able to understand and adapt to different cultures and hierarchical structures.
  • Team player and adept at working in multi-disciplinary and diverse teams to include:
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with the various stakeholders
    • Ability to talk competently and maintain high standards of behaviour with the client
    • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with matters of national security.
    • Ability to maintain high standards and provide challenging feedback even when it will be perceived negatively.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction.
  • Proven analytical skills capable of solving new and complex technical problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate the impact and importance of detailed technical information to non-technical and senior audiences. Arabic speaking would be advantageous but it not mandatory.
  • Support the managing and building of relationships with customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and motivates others keeping morale and performance high.
