Role Responsibilities

Technology, risk and financial accountabilities

• Enable teams to activate end to end digital experiences for customers, colleagues and partners, that are more secure, robust and scalable than ever before, and deliver them with lightning speed
• Bring thought leadership in your field of expertise to support the planning and execution of Technology’s strategic priorities, contemporary operating model and business plan
• Contribute to both Technology and performance with insights, collaborative input and expertise that promotes value creation, innovation, managed risk, and improved performance
• Continue to develop and plan for future growth, enabling enterprise programs and managing products and services across.

Your current accountabilities will also require you to:

• Identify, report and resolve gaps that may exist in the Application Portfolio Model (APM) and Technology Portfolio Model (TPM) and ensure any deviations are reviewed and undergo governance as per defined processes.
• Contribute to the development of the various domain strategies and roadmaps as required to enable realisation of the business strategy whilst also minimizing\eliminating technical debt
• Pragmatically use APM and TPM components in the development of solution and technical architecture and constructively challenge the APM & TPM where there are gaps or deficiencies.
• Drive service creation aligned to functional and non-functional service requirements.
• Produce architecture deliverables within agreed time and budget
• Keep all stakeholders informed in a timely manner of the status of the deliverables and provide recommendations to ensure informed decisions.
• Guide development of design and influence design decisions undertaken by platforms, vendors and partners across the domain.
• Actively Assure the design throughout delivery of the program of work.
• Advise business stakeholders on the impact of key architecture decisions and provide options with clearly articulated benefits and risks that enable the business to meet their performance and finance targets.

Requirements

Knowledge

• Demonstrable experience with security solution architecture development, key design decisions in a large enterprise environment preferably financial industry
• Tertiary or equivalent qualification/s in relevant technical fields
• Examples of Security Certifications highly regarded including CISSP, SABSA, CISA etc.

Skills

• Conduct security assessments ensuring a workload/system is assessed against appropriate security controls including recommendations to ensure solutions falls within risk appetite (includes threat assessments)
• Assess and approve solution architectures as input into the security assessment.
• Review and approve penetration testing results.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills related to security architecture activities and dependencies with ability to communicate assessment outcomes and expectations to technical and business stakeholders.
• Perform risk assessments and consult with Risk team to ensure correct ownership.
• Provide working knowledge of security controls across one of more public cloud providers ie. Azure, AWS and GCP
• Integrate SaaS / PaaS into enterprise compliance and monitoring systems.

Experience

• 3+ years’ experience in the cyber security field performing security assessments to ensure a workload/system is assessed against best practice security controls.

Certifications

• Examples of Security Certifications are highly regarded including CISSP, SABSA, CISA etc.
