About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Information Security Analyst (12 month fixed term contract) to join us on a fast paced information risk management programme. You will play a crucial role in delivering a programme of work designed to tackle our biggest issues and highest priorities for information risk, and will be setting Monzo up with robust processes to effectively manage the risks in the future.

The role will sit within our Security Collective, reporting into our Information Security Team. We’re focused on supporting the business to securely move at pace. We’re never afraid to do things differently and aim to form a partnership with product and engineering teams that allows us to support the creation of products our customers love.

Role Responsibilities
You will be responsible for: 

  • Collaborating across various workstreams within the information risk management program, focusing on areas such as data retention, legal hold, and establishing an effective operating model.
  • Working to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, applying a proactive approach to identify and address potential compliance issues.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation, understanding their requirements, and supporting the delivery of the program initiatives into their business areas.
  • Analysing and evaluatinf business systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement to be addressed by the programme.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of policies, practices, and tools essential for supporting business and program requirements, ensuring they align with regulations
  • Communicating project updates efficiently within the team, maintaining transparency.
  • Articulating and managing risks and issues, ensuring a shared understanding among team members.

You should apply if:

  • You have solid experience as a programme analyst, with proficiency in delivery, stakeholder management, reporting, and risk and issue management.
  • You demonstrate competence in handling multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating flexibility and ability to context switch 
  • You hold experience in projects spanning various security, data, and risk domains
  • You are familiar with the finance industry regulations pertaining to data and information, reflecting an understanding of regulatory compliance in the financial sector
  • You are a great communicator, written and verbal, and can clearly translate complicated messages to give clarity for wider audiences
  • You have confidence and capability in working autonomously, with a proven track record of engaging stakeholders effectively to achieve successful outcomes

The interview process:

Our interview process involves 2 main stages: 

  • Phone call with recruiter
  • Skills based interview with Information Security team (1 hour)
  • Monzo behavioural interview (45 min)
