Accenture Federal Services’ National Security Portfolio is seeking an Information System Security Engineer  to apply security skills to design, build and protect enterprise systems, applications, data, assets, and people. Provide services to safeguard information, infrastructures, applications, and business processes against cyber threats.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in creating and enforcing security policies and protocols to safeguard the organization's computer systems and networks.
  • Support compliance efforts with industry standards and regulations, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
  • Participate in risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities within the organization's systems and networks.
  • Contribute to vulnerability management by aiding in the scanning and assessment processes, prioritizing security weaknesses.
  • Help monitor security systems and network traffic for signs of irregularities or breaches using intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and antivirus software.
  • Engage in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery, under the guidance of senior security engineers.
  • Assist in the correct configuration of security settings for systems and applications and ensure the timely application of patches to vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing initiatives to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to elevate cybersecurity awareness among employees through targeted training programs.
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of security education content, emphasizing best practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, technologies, and threats to continuously enhance the organization’s security posture.

Here's what you need:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Security
  • 0-1 years experience Knowledge and understanding of Cybersecurity
  • Willingness to work onsite

Bonus points if you have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • An ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and focus Adaptable to a fast pace environment

Security Clearance:

  • Must be open to obtaining a security clearance

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington State as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.   
 
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role:  
California: $73,900 - $132,100
Colorado: $73,900 - $114,000 
New York: $68,400 - $132,100
Washington: $78,600 - $121,500
