Information Security Analyst

Amalgamated Bank seeks a driven Information Security Analyst a skilled and dedicated Information Security Analyst to join our organization's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our financial information systems. The Information Security Officer will play a crucial role in protecting sensitive customer data, maintaining regulatory compliance, and responding to emerging cyber threats specific to the banking industry.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
   • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential security risks. Be familiar with tools such as Arctic Wolf.
   • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies tailored to the unique challenges of the banking sector.

2. Incident Response and Investigation:

   • Lead and coordinate incident response efforts in the event of a security breach.
   • Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures.

3. Security Awareness Training:

   • Design and deliver specialized security awareness training programs for bank employees.
   • Foster a culture of security awareness and compliance among staff.

4. Fraud Prevention:

   • Implement and monitor fraud prevention measures to safeguard customer accounts and financial transactions.
   • Collaborate with relevant teams to identify and respond to potential fraudulent activities.

5. Vendor Security Oversight:

   • Evaluate and manage the security practices of third-party vendors providing services to the bank.
   • Ensure that vendors adhere to security standards and contractual obligations.

6. Regulatory Audits and Reporting:

   • Coordinate and participate in regulatory audits related to information security.
   • Prepare and submit reports on the bank's security posture to regulatory authorities.

7. Security Architecture and Technology:

   • Work closely with IT teams to design and implement secure architecture for banking systems.
   • Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions relevant to the financial sector.
      
     Qualifications:
   • Hands on experience in Access Administration in a Financial Services Organization
   • Experienced in roles based access control on banking systems
   • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification (or in progress)
   • Experience in information security roles within the banking industry
   • Understanding  of banking regulations and compliance requirements
   • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $80,000.00 – $90,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
