The Position

Mission:

This position, based in Roche’'s Indianapolis, IN facility, provides the opportunity to have a key role in a highly automated diagnostics manufacturing facility. The site employs highly integrated computer control systems to manage plant operations and manufacturing data. The candidate will report to the site Operational Technology (OT) organization, an organization that is currently undergoing a transformation towards digitalization, advancing fundamental elements to meet future needs, such as standardizing and leveraging new technologies.

The OT Team in Indianapolis is supporting Diabetes Care Operations & Quality which is a key site in North America where millions of blood glucose monitoring units are manufactured every year.  The site is composed of amazing people in R&D, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics..

The Cybersecurity Engineer plays a vital role in protecting Roche manufacturing systems and networks against cybersecurity threats. This role is responsible for local architecture and engineering support, helping system owners and administrators in keeping their manufacturing environment up to date with the latest Roche Manufacturing Cybersecurity standards, baselines and industry best practices. 

What you’ll be working on:

Active involvement in the implementation of the Manufacturing Cybersecurity Management System in the entire system and service lifecycle including Plan, Design, Build and Release, Operate and Maintain. 

This include activities like:

  • Takes part in technical design reviews, integration, testing, and documentation activities concerning new IT and OT systems

  • Supports development of Manufacturing Cybersecurity standards and baselines

  • OT Cybersecurity Advisor during OT System planning phase

  • Supports IT OT System Risk Assessment process

  • Supports the coordination process for IT OT Security Patch planning 

  • Coordination of IT OT services and activities delivered by Vendors

  • Reviews Manufacturing Firewall Requests

  • Performs the design and sustainment of OT Security Monitoring (IIDS)

  • Supports vulnerability management process in OT area

  • Technical support during the Incident Response process

  • Generating GxP documentation and executing testing protocols in a regulated environment

  • Focusing on L0-L3 of the ISA95 model

  • Team up with  Manufacturing  Representatives

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree ( Master preferred ) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or related field

  • 3 years of experience in system and/or network administration

Business and Technical skills

  • Attention to details and good problem-solving skills

  • Good team player, self-confident, motivated, and independent

  • Experience working in the life sciences industry or similar regulated environment

  • Endpoint security solutions, including file integrity monitoring 

  • Advanced knowledge  on networking (LAN/WAN) and industrial networking including significant low-level networking experience with the TCP/IP and CIP; emphasis on Cisco devices

  • Solid knowledge on IT and OT infrastructure, including PLC security and protection; emphasis on Rockwell Automation

  • Proficient in Java, Net, C++, Python, bash, power shell

  • One of five potential security-related certifications (Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Specialist certification, Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
