Overview

A Security Engineer at AND Digital is responsible for monitoring, and mitigating security risks and threats across the technology estate. You will need to work with a number of different stakeholders across different business units to implement and maintain security operating standards and requirements.

Role Outline: 

  • Perform technical security assessments across the business, identify and prioritise security issues, and work the key stakeholders to develop remedial actions for non-compliance areas.

  • Design and implement security solutions (such as DLP, CASB and SIEM).

  • Assist in the creation of security policies and standards - in line with ISO:27001 and ISO:22301 and aid in their implementation and adoption across the business.

  • Assist in the creation and introduction of end user security training programs.

  • Evaluate alerts from security tools to determine the impact of security issues on company deployed solutions and help to formulate action plans for remediation.

  • Assist in the introduction of monitoring solutions and practices for internal apps and services.

  • Perform external and internal network scans to discover potential threats and work with other IT teams to remediate issues.

  • Manage and work with third party vendors to aid with security audits, consultancy and technology implementations.

  • Work with internal teams to arrange / maintain security assessments, tests and audits. 

Requirements

Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in a mix of industry and consulting work .

  • Experience achieving security compliance certifications such as ISO27001, and Cyber Security Essentials.

  • Good understanding and experience leveraging a cyber security controls framework such as NIST.

  • Strong hands-on, technical skills across many types of security technologies (e.g., firewalls, vulnerability management, IAM, DLP, etc.) including experience working in a cloud environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience of developing strong relationships, either as a consultant or demonstration of significant influencing abilities within an organisation.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to build business cases for technology initiatives and to effectively communicate the value proposition to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Highly motivated individual who has the natural ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Certifications in one or more of the following areas are highly desired: CISSP, CISM, GISO, GCIH.
