We are currently seeking an experienced security analyst who will be primarily focused on incident response. In this role you’ll handle incoming alerts, perform tuning of security tools, and respond to incidents to protect the business. 

The Role:

  • Leverage detection tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and coordinate response across teams.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of additional security measures to enhance monitoring capabilities.
  • Assist with third-party security assessments.
  • Stay up to date on recent security trends and news.
  • Balance concurrent projects with ongoing operational responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of work experience in information technology.
  • 2+ years of prior security experience, including hands-on experience in security operations or incident response in large enterprise environments.
  • Solid understanding of the incident response lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience with log analysis and event correlation using a SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight, SumoLogic, QRadar, Exabeam, etc.) to detect potential malicious behavior.
  • Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools such as Carbon Black or CrowdStrike.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP concepts and major operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux).

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant discipline (cybersecurity, information systems, computer science) or equivalent work experience.

  • Advantageous:
  • Some understanding of real-world attacker techniques.
  • Experience in at least one major scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Relevant security certifications are a plus.
