Security Engineer Intern

Casper is seeking a motivated Security Engineer Intern to join the Technology team this summer. This intern will have the opportunity to learn how to perform in a team environment, and evaluate risk and opportunities in order to improve an organization's security posture. The ideal candidate is a proactive contributor and highly organized. This is a hybrid role, working an average of up to 3 days per week based at our spacious 3 World Trade Center office.

When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do: 

• Learn about our approach to Information Security
• Pair with members from our Security team to investigate and develop a plan for improving the security of part of our systems or infrastructure
• Evaluate current rules and alerts, work on integrations and investigations
• Assess parts of our infrastructure for weaknesses / gaps to address

Our dream candidate is…

• A rising senior or recent graduate, working toward/or with an undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity, Risk, or similar field of study
• Previous internship experience in security or a related area is a plus
• Proactive approach to work, you like to solve problems and don’t wait for someone to give you the answer
• Extremely organized and detail oriented 
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
