Associate Manager, Security Operations Center - Ideal candidate will be based in the Eastern Time Zone.
The Cybereason Global SOC provides global 24/7 active monitoring and proactive threat hunting services that provide fast identification, response, and analysis of alerts so every customer’s network is guaranteed to be safe and secure from today’s and tomorrow’s threats. As an Associate SOC Manager, you will be a part of the Global SOC team and responsible for providing positive leadership to the North America SOC to ensure our people, processes and technology are meeting service level objectives, agreements, and metrics.
What you will do
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to staff
- Interface with c-suite level customers on a routine basis
- Prioritize and manage personnel assignments to ensure customer networks stay safe
- Regular engagement with other SOC teams and Security Practices teams in Japan, Israel and EMEA
- Proactive interaction with leadership to voice concerns, issues, or propose better solutions
- Ensure personnel process adherence and audit process completion
- Responsible for formulating and implementing regional (US) SOC strategy based on Global SOC efforts
- Collect, Analyze, and Act on Operational Metrics and KPIs
- Develop and maintain methodology and framework of Operational Metrics and KPIs
- Deliver SOC-related technical and non-technical presentations to internal and external audiences
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of experience working in IT security
- 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Proficiency in Incident Response Processes
- Familiarity with endpoint security, digital forensics
- Former SOC experience preferred
- Background and experience in at least one of the following is an advantage:
- Malware Analysis, Threat Intelligence, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, Reverse Engineering or Digital Forensics
- Knowledge of modern operating systems (Windows – preferred)
- Solid foundation in networking protocols and network architecture
- Familiarity with common security tools and frameworks
- A clear passion and enthusiastic about cyber security
- Development experience an advantage
- Motivation to constantly improve processes and methodologies
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
- Good written and oral communication skills, experience with working with international customers
- Relevant academic degree or equivalent experience
