Directs the activities of diverse Information Security (IS) groups and teams. Provides overall leadership and technical expertise in the development, definition and execution of various programs, projects, operations and strategy. Identifies opportunities for enhancing IS organizational capabilities to defend against evolving threats while supporting and achieving current, and anticipated business objectives. Serves as technical expert and change agent, determining how best to maximize the company's security controls, update and enhance security systems, applications and processes. Ensures the identification and maintenance of state-of-the-art security technologies. Ensures technologies achieve all security expectations.

  • Provides clear direction to an assigned staff of IT personnel.
  • Manages team and individual goals, conducting performance reviews and mentoring and growing team and individual capability.
  • Exercises judgment in planning and organizing work, monitoring performance and reporting on status.
  • Manages project timelines and coordinates with other teams to achieve milestones.
  • Ensures team members have the processes and technical skills to deliver consistent performance, high quality results and value to client.
  • Builds strong relationships with clients (internal and external) to improve services and ensure service levels are achieved.
  • Applies strong knowledge of programming, technologies, processes and methodologies to develop, maintain and support business applications.
  • Leads development, support and maintenance of complex projects requiring a wide application of theories, concepts, and principles.
  • Sets short- and medium-term goals with team members and provides frequent, concrete feedback.
  • Identifies and resolves business issues, escalating when appropriate.
  • Contributes to planning and estimating budget, participant and resource requirements for short-, medium, and long-term efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Typically has 6-8 years of experience in Information Security and management, leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of multiple security, privacy and process frameworks (for example, ISO 27001, SOX, PCI, GLBA, GDPR).
  • Knowledge of risk management concepts and risk assessment best practices.
  • Experience in managing audits with external entities (clients, certification bodies, external auditors etc) and internal risk assessments and audits.
  • Experience leading security assessments/audits.
  • Self-motivated demonstrating good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural and virtual team environment.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally when necessary.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (speak, read, write).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Visio.

Salary Range: $110,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including your qualifications, skills, competencies and relevant experience. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the plan and/or program, whereby an award, if any, may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
