Cyber Essentials Plus Auditor

We are seeking a qualified Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus auditor to support our mission in providing clear and simple cyber advice to SMEs and enable them to achieve the Cyber Essentials government standard.

We want you to have the ambition to seek further cyber security auditing certification which could include IASME Gold, ISO2700 or even other national or international certifications such as CMMC.

In this role the prime duty will be auditing customer for Cyber Essentials Plus, using our bespoke web based platform. You will additionally provide support to customers via live chat to ensure they can complete the certification journey as quickly and efficiently as possible, without compromising the standard of the certification scheme. Frequently customers will be on their initial Cyber Essentials certification journey and you will be very comfortable supporting them through the process.

A key part of your day will involve providing security advice and support to our clients and the wider Team at CyberSmart, including Customer Success and Customer Support. We also encourage you to provide us all with feedback on improving our product and ideas for new or additional products and services that we could offer.

You will own the delivery of Cyber Essentials Plus certifications in your pipeline and in the role you will be supported by three senior auditors and a junior Cyber Essentials auditor.

Your growth as an auditor and security expert is important to us and you will be provided with the opportunity and support to take your career further with funded training and immediate guidance and support.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

• Timely assessment and auditing of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus submissions, using the bespoke CyberSmart web platform - our Service Level Agreement (SLA) aims to respond to all submitted certifications or questions and guidance requests in the same working day.
• Meet SLA targets responding to live chat conversations with clients.
• Conduct Cyber Essentials Plus auditing either remotely or on site.
  • Note that on site audits may require overnight stays away from home which will be fully funded by the company.
• Provide information security knowledge to clients as they seek certification and internally to Sales and Customer Success Account managers to facilitate development of new opportunities.

Requirements

• IASME Qualified Cyber Essentials assessor - must have.
• IASME Qualified Cyber Essentials Plus Auditor - must have.
• IASME Governance Assessor qualified - good to have but not essential.
• ISO27001 qualification - good to have but not essential.
• Highly motivated, positive and with great interpersonal skills which you use to deliver quality and success across whatever you do.
• Like and are comfortable working in an office setting, on site with clients or using remote tools to deliver a great service experience.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and you are comfortable speaking with authoritatively to clients about cyber security to guide them to successful certification.
• A desire to continuously grow professionally will be a great attribute to have.
• You act with integrity and take a pragmatic, solutions-based response to client problems.
• An understanding of software development cycles and start up business mentality will be of great advantage
