System Administrator (Network Security)

We currently have a vacancy for a System Administrator (Network Security) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Ispra, Italy. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Installation and configuration of system components and server software, including patch management;
• Operating and monitoring of infrastructure, systems, servers;
• Preliminary diagnosis of software and hardware problems, also in co-ordination with the central IT departments;
• Participate in defining and documenting configuration of systems & infrastructure;
• Advise in areas such as capacity management, contingency planning, IT service continuity management, automation of repetitive tasks, security.
  

Requirements

• University degree in IT combined with 9 years of relevant professional experience;
• Current experience in Reverse proxy and Web Application Firewall technologies (Particularly for F5 systems);
• Experience in Forward Proxies operation and implementation;
• Experience in Vulnerability detection and management solutions (Tenable SC and others) as well as Security monitoring and attack detections (i.e. Tenable AD);
• Experience in Network Security techniques and technologies, IDS/IPS Network intrusion detection technologies and VPN standards;
• Experience in Network logging systems and Network protocol services (NTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP);
• Knowledge in System administration of Linux servers (RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS and others);
• Knowledge of Operating and monitoring of infrastructure, systems, and servers;
• Excellent command of the English language.
