The purpose of the Cybersecurity Associate role is to support the CyberSecurity team activities and attention to tickets and requests. The CyberSecurity Associate will be responsible for the attention to users for initial application security reviews, malware/phishing evaluations, as well as user requests. They will also be involved in the development of internal projects and evaluations, together with the rest of the team.

Key Responsabilities

  • Support of users and tickets related to information security.
  • Assist users and stakeholders with information security related questions and requests.
  • Evaluate and analyze requirements and requests from users, in order to process them adequately and provide the necessary answers.
  • Support other information security teams with requests and support.
  • Escalate appropriately all corner cases and high impact requests.
  • Work closely with the different teams to ensure the evaluation of requirements is adequate.
  • Maintain information security processes documentation.
  • Provide a deeper level of evaluation for all requirements.
  • Research internally on company's teams, technology, documentation or processes to collect the necessary information to better understand a security challenge and participate in the suggestion of alternatives.
  • Provide assistance in the information security team projects.
  • Participate in the weekend watch schedules that the team establishes when needed towards the operation of the company.
  • Participate in the different activities of the overall team.

Position Requirements

  • +2 years of experience in a Security position, preferably on a cloud based company/startup.
  • Knowledge and understanding of best security practices, OWASP, Ethical Hacking, and other related standards.
  • Relevant experience with client support and attention, preferably through Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Must be interested in information security and its areas of expertise.
  • Must be willing and driven to develop knowledge and skills in several areas of Security.
  • Fluent in English.
