Job Type Full-time Description

This position works with the IT Chief and is the Information Technology Systems Administrator in the Office of Information Technology and provides the following services: 

  • Develops, tests, implements, and/or maintains operating systems and related software. 
  • Establish and implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters 
  • Schedule, perform, or monitor system backups or data recoveries 
  • Ensures the running operations of network servers and Microsoft Office 365 Cloud server infrastructure to include but not limited to the following: On-premises Active Directory Servers and Domain Name Servers and DHCP servers 
  • Perform onboarding and offboarding of new systems for new and departing personnel and contractors. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, operating system, and networking problems 
  • Update software repository and proper distribution using Microsoft Defender 
  • Ensure proper server configuration and monitoring of the following security systems (Microsoft Defender for anti-virus/malware; Patch Management Server; SIEM Event Logs and audit reports) 
  • Perform up-to-date Anti-Virus/Malware software and proper distribution across the IT Infrastructure platform using Microsoft Defender 
  • Patch distribution using Qualys Patch Management System · Perform operational maintenance of Cisco Meraki switches 
  • Responsible for the operational configuration of Network and Systems, vulnerability scanning systems, such as Qualys or any other system in use
  • Administration of Microsoft Office 365 cloud and related components i.e.:  

                o  Microsoft Azure 

                o Exchange Online 

                o SharePoint Online 

  • Microsoft Defender and its components (Antivirus/Malware, Software distribution, lntune or Endpoints) o Microsoft Teams 

                o Microsoft Sentinel 

                o One Drive for Business 

  • Administration of the Log Management (Microsoft Sentinel) system and other security devices such as Web Filters. 
  • Administers Single Sign-On and Identity Access Management System (Okta) 
  • Management of Okta Identity Management and Single Sign-on platform 
  • Add new users with roles and permissions 
  • Remove/disable employees who have departed/resigned/terminated 
  • Work with product/vendor’s technical support to resolve pending technical issues, including incident escalation. 
  • Assist the Chief Information/Chief Information Security Officer in FISMA (Federal Information Security Management Act) activities. 
  • Prepare and review NIST-related security controls and coordinate with the security analyst to ensure controls have been addressed through preparedness. 
  • Work with IT Security Analyst to ensure IT Systems Continuous Monitoring metrics and addresses per metrics scheduled and proper documentation and evidentiary reports are met. 
  • Conduct monthly vulnerability, scanning, and remediation of the agency's computer devices, review vulnerability reports, and plan effective processes for timely remediation of those vulnerabilities. Document the remediation status. 
  • Provide lead for OHS activities to include Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation implementation. 
  • Assist the Chief Information Security Officer in preparing to review with security contractor Security Assessments and Accreditation (SA&A) of Information Systems. 
  • Review and analyze Continuous Monitoring reports for accuracy and document vulnerabilities for corrective action to be taken. 
  • Provide an updated Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation and design of operations and infrastructure of the Network Diagram. 
  • Update administrative functional areas of SOP manuals.
Requirements
  • Minimum of, 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Windows Servers (2016 and above) in an enterprise environment.
  • Minimum 3 years working and administering Microsoft Office 365 cloud applications.
  • Minimum 3 years systems administration experience in Microsoft Office 365 cloud components: 
  1. SharePoint Online
  2. Exchange Online
  3. Office 365
  4. Microsoft Teams voice
  5. Microsoft Azure
  6. Microsoft 365 Defender and its components
  7. One Drive for Business
  • Minimum 3 years of experience administering Unified Messaging Communications and Team Voice Messaging Systems to include Add-Move-Change
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with network vulnerability scanning and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of:

     o  Identity Access Management Systems and Single Sign-On

     o Patch Management Systems

     o Web content publishing

  • Knowledge of:

     o Sentinel SIEM

     o Log Management

     o DHS CDM Program

  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent Communication skills
