We’re looking for a network security engineer to join our ranks immediately, due to several pressing challenges that threaten our organization's strategic and operational efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the security and compliance of the organization's network infrastructure, including implementing security measures to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect against cyber threats.
  • Providing advanced tuning, support and troubleshooting for the organization's Zscaler security infrastructure (ZIA/ZPA), ensuring its optimal function and security.
  • Enhancing security measures for Layer 7 protections and network data loss prevention capabilities to improve overall data security.
  • Addressing vulnerabilities and enhancing firewall configurations to meet NYDFS project expectations/standards.
  • Regularly reviewing and optimizing firewall rules/policies to maintain a secure and efficient network environment.
  • Providing ongoing support for security operations to help them with triaging, response, and remediation.

Core Strengths and Skills

  • Expertise in network security, including the ability to implement security measures, identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, and protect against cyber threats.
  • Strong technical skills in managing and troubleshooting complex security infrastructure, such as Zscaler, firewalls, and identity management systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements, particularly NYDFS cybersecurity regulations, and the ability to align security initiatives with these standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex security issues and optimize network configurations.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
