As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls team, you are an integral part of team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions. 

Job responsibilities

  • Analyzes and comprehends the business needs while collaborating with end users and stakeholders.
  • Designs the solution's technical architecture, including its network, software, and hardware components.
  • Determines which technological choices, including the most recent advances in software development, are the greatest match for the problem.
  • Ensures scalability and dependability so that the solution may satisfy the organization's present and future demands.
  • Ensures the solution complies with the organization's standards and regulations, it is important to identify and manage technical, security, and compliance risks.
  • Coordinates with key parties, such as project managers, development teams, and executives, to make sure everyone is on the same page and pursuing the same objective.
  • Provides post-implementation support, by means of software maintenance, troubleshooting, 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • AWS Solutions Architect - Associate
  • Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Practical cloud native experience, Python and Data Engineering experience
  • Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working at code level
