Overview:

The Threat Intelligence Analyst will work collaboratively with Incident Responders, Security Operations and Concierge Security teams to define and prioritize cyber threat indicators. The incumbent will maintain an overview of the overall threat landscape, allowing the team to provide high level situational awareness and warnings about emergent threats.

This position uses threat indicators and data sources to develop monitoring and alert strategies. The Threat Intelligence Analyst 1 will collaborate with other members of the team to produce intelligence reports and briefs, prioritize threat events, advise system owners, and contribute their expertise during incidents.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and cover various sources of intelligence including internal data,  open source reports, online databases, restricted intelligence sources and identify actionable areas of interest.
  • Conduct research and produce reports on cyber security and threat intelligence related topics such as current threats and threat actors, evolution of trends in the threat landscape, vulnerabilities, indications of compromise, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Uses indicators of compromise such as, files, IP addresses, and hashes to help identify threat actors, understand their methods, and prevent future attacks.
  • Conduct investigations following the intelligence cycle, assist in handling and remediating security incidents as well as support security related programs by conducting data analysis, assessments, and drafting reports.
  • Leverages an understanding of common analysis techniques and frameworks, such as threat modeling techniques (i.e., Kill Chain, Pyramid of Pain, MITRE ATT&CK and Diamond Model).
  • Responsible for supporting strategic, operational, and tactical components of the Intelligence function within the Threat Intelligence team.

Required Skills and Experience:

1+ years of Cybersecurity experience

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years in a Threat Intelligence Role
