THE ROLE

The Security Analyst will work directly with product groups, technology teams, and the wider Information Security & Privacy group to analyze cyber risk scenarios across the organization. The Security Analyst will carry out risk
management procedures such risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and treatment. The Security Analyst will be a point of contact for their relevant technology teams and will provide visibility and oversight into security standards and cyber risk for the senior leadership team and business units across the enterprise.
 
This role will be filled by someone that can use effective analysis, communication, management, and influence to help assess cyber risk and advise on industry standards and best practices in a variety of cyber security scenarios. The
ideal candidate will have technical knowledge, cybersecurity experience, exposure to project management and workflow methodologies, and the ability to influence decision makers.
 

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Running the cyber risk management process to ground

  • Conducting cyber risk assessments to identify potential threats to our systems and networks

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies

  • Communicating with stakeholders at all levels to convey risk assessment findings, recommendations, and remediation strategies

  • Helping to create security focused programs and developing processes that will drive agreed security strategy

  • Assisting and collaborating with other security analysts and engineers  across the Information Security & Privacy team

  • Guiding development and product teams towards secure methodologies and practices

  • Preparing reports to the Senior Executive Team

  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

 WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING (TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)
  • Proven experience in information security

  • Proven work as a Security Analyst to include risk-based security remediation and risk analysis

  • Experience with PCI Tier 1, NIST, and/or ISO 27001/27002

  • Experience with OWASP top ten, CIS Benchmarks, and Cybersecurity Framework

  • Experience identifying and remediating common security vulnerabilities

  • Experience identifying and assessing common enterprise security gaps or risks

  • Familiarity with SIEM and other log management tools

  • Familiarity with both AWS and on-prem security practices

The expected compensation for this position in California is:

$72,000.00 USD - $90,000.00 USD
