Aegean Baltic Bank is seeking a talented Information Security Analyst to join its Cybersecurity Team. In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security events, performing vulnerability analysis, detecting potential threats, and responding to security incidents. Additionally, the IS Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Bank's digital assets are protected, as well as providing support in maintaining a strong security posture.

More specifically, the role holder will perform the following tasks:

  • Monitor security alerts and events generated by the Bank’s security tools and systems.
  • Assess security protection measures through vulnerability analysis and penetration testing.
  • Analyze and investigate potential security incidents.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve security incidents and enhance security measures.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, including incident response procedures.
  • Conduct threat hunting and provide proactive security monitoring.
  • Stay up to date with emerging threats and security trends.
  • Prepare user awareness and phishing campaigns.
  • Participate in regulatory compliance and information security risk assessment activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field. A Master's degree in a related field will be considered as an asset.
  • Previous experience of at least 3 years in a similar role, preferably as a SOC analyst or incident responder.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and security technologies.
  • Understanding of incident response processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus.
