The Role

We're looking for a Security Engineer II to oversee and enhance our cybersecurity measures. In this role, you’ll identify vulnerabilities, implement security protocols, and respond to incidents — ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data and systems. This position sits on the Information Security team, a team that safeguards our company's digital assets and reduces cyber risks. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive in addressing security challenges, willing to wear multiple hats simultaneously, and motivated to continuously learn and adapt in the ever-evolving field of cybersecurity.

 

What You'll Do

  • Administer, maintain, and regularly update security systems and tools, conducting configuration reviews and controls assessments to ensure operational efficiency and anomaly detection.
  • Analyze security system outputs, including reports and log data, to identify and respond to anomalous behaviors and potential internet threats.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to enforce security policies and streamline processes at scale.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, and maintain effective security solutions, sharing insights on security policy, risk management, and access control.
  • Participate in software development activities, designing secure software solutions, maintaining the codebase, and ensuring adherence to coding best practices.
  • Lead in the design and review of systems to improve the security posture of application software, infrastructure, abuse detection, and system integrity.
  • Actively participate in security incident response, vulnerability management, and contribute to the overall planning and execution of security engineering projects.

 

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in Information Security
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficient in modern security tools and practices including SIEM, SSO, IAM, MDM
  • Experienced in core security concepts such as application and operating systems security, authentication, authorization, identity systems, and secure coding practices.
  • Skilled in network and web security protocols like TLS and IPSec, with experience in security-focused design, development, or architecture.
  • Familiar with cloud infrastructures like AWS/GCP, and capable of scripting and coding to implement or verify security solutions.
  • Knowledgeable about information security regulations, policies, and common hacking techniques and vulnerabilities.
  • Understands various technologies and concepts, including encryption, networking protocols, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and cloud architecture and security.
  • Eager to take initiative in a fast-paced, ever-changing, dynamic environment.

The typical base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 per year. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
