What You'll Do:

 

As a Material Compliance Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation by supporting the business in ensuring that materials utilized in production meet regulatory and customer requirements such as REACH, RoHS, PFAS and other applicable regulations. Responsibilities include interacting with internal and external customers and suppliers to identify material conformity to various regulatory requirements and to assist and communicate regulatory changes throughout the organization. The Material Compliance Specialist will need to be able to manage a large and complex portfolio of customer projects with varying regulatory challenges and will need to meet customer and business needs while adhering to corporate ethical and legal conduct guidelines. 

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Serve as the single point of contact to the business for all material compliance issues.
  • Provide technical expertise and value-added services to internal and/or external customers and their commercial partners, both proactively and in response to requests for support.
  • Ensure customer new product approval data requests and significant changes to product labels and SDS’s are communicated in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with market-specific requirements in specific end-use applications.
  • Serve as gatekeeper in protection of confidential business information from disclosure to customers and/or 3rd parties without proper business case/justification and protection.
  • Identify and communicate business opportunities and threats arising from current and future legislation, trends in line with business or company-wide objectives and proactively monitor specific legislation for changes.
  • Identify and drive risk mitigation initiatives to protect the business from potential regulatory threats.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service and Operations organizations and various business functions to ensure customer requests and requirements are addressed. 

 

Skills That Make a Difference: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a product stewardship, regulatory, or compliance position, or other relevant industry experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and appropriately manage priorities.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment
  • Detail oriented and results driven with highly effective decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with computer skills and business-related computer software programs
  • Ability to travel 10% globally.
