We are seeking an experience Defensive Cyberspace Operations Specialist to support the U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) Joint Cyber Center (JCC). The JCC provides a leading-edge cyberspace operations capability in support of United States and Republic of Korea (ROK) combined operations within the Korean Theater of Operations (KTO) during armistice, contingencies and war.
Our Defensive Cyberspace Specialist will have the opportunity to:
- Provide defensive analysis, reporting and recommendations, provide cyberspace defensive posture risk analysis, mitigation strategies and solutions, and analyze cyberspace network events to determine the impact on current operations.
- Support activities require research, analysis, and coordination across multiple agencies, adherence cyberspace best practices, and cyberspace subject matter expertise (SME) consultative support to the USFK Command and Staff, Services and components operating in the Korea Theater of Operations (KTO) and US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) AOR.
- Conduct research and evaluate technical, nontechnical, intelligence, and commercially available information with specific emphasis on network operations and cyberspace warfare techniques, tactics, and procedures focused on the threats to US networks, and where applicable, commercial networks and systems that directly or indirectly supporting DoD interests and operations.
- Develop and deliver defensive reports that include recommendations and solutions to strengthen cyberspace defensive posture to determine the impact on current operations.
- Use the results of vulnerability analysis to generate products that contribute to planning and directing defensive cyberspace operations on military networks; candidate shall have knowledge of common types of vulnerabilities, workaround and fixes, mitigations, exploits, and best business practices related to computer network defense.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 or more years relevant experience or 6 years’ experience no degree
- 2 or more years’ experience in defensive cyberspace operations
- Must have at least CEH certification (8140 Requirement for 531-Cyber defense Incident Responder)
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Invited Contractor status under the ROK/US Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA)
- Top Secret / SCI security clearance

Target Salary Range
