CONTRACTOR SPECIAL SECURITY OFFICER (CSSO)

SpaceX is looking for a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to serve as a point of contact and liaison with multiple customers. This is a chance to fill a critical role within a dynamic and high-tempo environment working on programs pushing the boundaries of industry and technology. A successful candidate will be a self-starter and problem-solver and will possess the ability to convey security requirements to a diverse group of technical personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist Primary CSSO on SCI security matters and provide support to Mission Mangers and technical staff as needed for program success
• Review, track, and monitor billet plans for programs
• Coordinate additional security requirements such as polygraphs and SCI indoctrinations/debriefings
• Facilitate associated badging and access
• Assist with initial security clearance briefings, debriefings, and security-centric education
• Process classified visit access requests
• Maintain accountability of associated program materials
• Support the physical security program/infrastructure, to include CUA’s, CONOPS, OPSEC plans, PPP’s, DD254’s, etc.
• Assist with compliance inspections
• Attend and support to various customer meetings and working groups
• Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years security-related experience performing responsibilities specifically within an SAP environment
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Note that an active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions. If so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong knowledge of the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and related security policy and procedures
• Strong knowledge of TALON, Scattered Castles, and other customer specific systems

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to favorably complete a U.S. Government CI scope polygraph
• Ability to travel in support of mission requirements
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed in support of mission-critical deadlines and milestones

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: 

Pay Range:   

Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
