Job Title: Blackstone Technology & Innovations (BXTi) - Senior Vice President – Cybersecurity

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a cross-functional effort to implement an enterprise-wide IAM program utilizing hands-on technology, project management, and Identity Access Management (IAM) experience.
  • Drive the Identity & Access Management initiative and play a key role in the design and implementation of global automation and information security at Blackstone.
  • Develop a strategic vision for IAM including a high-level consensus of the types of systems and user experiences that IAM should seek to support.
  • Define a strategy to move Blackstone from the current state to the vision state including a roadmap, short/medium/long-term projects, milestones, and measures of success.
  • Determine the appropriate model for resourcing to deliver on the strategy and operationalize the end-state.
  • Drive excellence across key focus areas of IAM including Identity Management, Access Management, Authorization, and Privileged Access Management.
  • Work to consolidate multiple identity stores into a more efficient model.
  • Identify and enable business rules for entitlements via an approval process to be defined.
  • Establish standards for how application entitlements are structured, including standardizing job function roles so central entitlement management is possible.
  • Evaluate and implement an Identity Governance Solution with appropriate lifecycle workflows.
  • Create a document access governance framework to drive control requirements for new and existing document storage solutions.
  • Evaluate solutions for MFA, SSO, Password-less Authentication, VPN-less connectivity, and emerging technologies in the broader space.
  • Assess and broaden the firm’s privileged access management strategy.
  • Enable software developers to embed authentication and authorization to secure access by both users and other systems (e.g. API security).
  • Leverage automation wherever possible.
  • Understand, and if necessary, rearchitect data flows, reporting and user interfaces; gaining feedback and iterating to meet requirements.
  • Manage business stakeholders along with project members, timelines, and objectives.
  • Lead meetings comprised of business stakeholders and/or project team members.
  • Develop best practices and create documentation in order to manage the security posture of a hybrid-cloud environment that includes data centers, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Be challenged to broaden and deepen their knowledge, experience, and understanding of a diverse, distributed, enterprise environment.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in job offered or related occupations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience serving as Subject Matter Expert in Identity and Access Management.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience building high performing teams; reducing friction in the user experience while effectively managing risk.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with vendor relationship management and contract negotiation.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing teams in an Agile environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing and managing the execution of global, multi-year digital cybersecurity programs for large organizations.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing a Target Operating Model for cybersecurity measured by key performance indicators.
  • Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:

$225,000 - $275,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
