Security and Compliance Leader

As the Security and Compliance Leader for AWS Marketing DM&I, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cloud security and compliance. You will own the health and strategy for security, collaborating with multiple AWS Security teams to develop and implement robust processes, mechanisms, and frameworks. Additionally, you will lead efforts to ensure compliance across Marketing systems.


Key job responsibilities
* Own the health and strategy for security, collaborating with multiple AWS Security teams and SMGS Operations.
* Lead efforts to develop and implement processes, mechanisms, and frameworks for evaluating and enhancing security health.
* Develop and execute on security and compliance strategy and roadmaps for AWS Marketing.
* Support AWS Marketing teams with appsec processes, including product and vendor security.
* Foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution when faced with discordant views.
* Build relationships and influence stakeholders across AWS security and Marketing teams.
* Participate fully in planning for AWS Marketing’s security requirements and drive process improvement initiatives.
* Maintain ultimate ownership of security for Marketing platforms and applications.

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years leading security teams
- Extensive experience in cloud security and operations, with a track record of success in a leadership role.
- Experience establishing security frameworks and policies.
- Strong technical team leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- A strong bias for action with proven ability to handle high stress, time sensitive security tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience managing remote team members.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- MA/MS in computer science/related field
- Information security professional certifications encouraged (SANS GIAC, CISSP etc.).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
