In the 2024-25 school year, the KIPP Jacksonville region will be comprised of four schools educating more than 3,000 students, kindergarten through twelfth grade in the North and West sides of Jacksonville, Florida.
KIPP Impact Academy: Kindergarten - 4th grade, 6th - 8th grade
KIPP VOICE Academy: Kindergarten - 8th grade
KIPP Bessie Coleman Academy: Kindergarten - 8th grade
KIPP Bold City High School: 9th - 12th grade
For the current school year, teachers at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools work the following hours Monday through Friday and may have occasional meetings or special school events outside of these hours. Hours for teachers and students may vary slightly by school.
K-8 Staff: 7:30am - 4:30pm K-8 Students: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Wednesday K-8 dismissal is at 1:30pm
High School Staff: 6:45am - 3:45pm, High School Students: 7:15am - 2:30pm, Wednesday High School dismissal is at 12:30pm.
Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. *This doesn’t include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.

Job Description
KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks to grow the career and technical education program at our high school by adding a CTE instructor to our team. We seek teachers who are comfortable teaching information technology or cybersecurity. Teachers will instruct students across multiple grade levels and/or sections.
We seek a teacher who will be committed to providing quality career and technical instruction that sets students up for college access and as such, the CTE teachers would ensure students are both exposed to rigorous cybersecurity material and can meet the state’s industry certification examination requirements.
This position would work closely with the electives department. Teachers are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their school leader.
Please note the location of Bold City High School is located at 1440 McDuff Avenue North.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Ability to meet minimum district credentialing requirements (either through relevant experience as an information technology professional (information, networking, or cyber security) OR hold a Business Education 6-12 Florida teaching certificate.

HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least one complete year of teaching computer science(s) with experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
- Prior experience teaching a career and technical education course
