Trailstone is currently experiencing a phase of growth, and we are pleased to announce an opening for an Associate Information Security Analyst in our Austin office at South MoPac Expressway.

 

About the Role 

The successful candidate will be joining our global security team as an Associate Information Security Analyst. We depend on robust security solutions in order to operate with confidence, and this team is responsible for our global infrastructure environment by identifying threats, managing alerts and implementing solutions that support all our global lines of business. In essence, this team ensures maximum availability of existing services in both production and business continuity environments.

To summarize the position, you will split your time between delivering security support work (around 80% of the role) and providing operational support (around 20% of the role). The dual focus of this position will allow you to apply your quick analysis and research skills to integrate end-to-end security solutions, as well as collaborate with wider technology and non-technology teams globally. 

This will be a full time position, requiring on-site presence in our Austin TX office 4-days a week, with flexibility. Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Responding to and investigating alerts and notifications from security applications. 
  • Assisting with patch management and security hardening of corporate assets.
  • Performing vulnerability analysis and reporting on emerging threats (including cyber and social engineering attacks), with a view to developing mitigation strategies & training measures.
  • Triaging Level 1 security alerts and escalating Level 2 events to senior team members as needed.

 

Our Technology

This role will work with a technology stack that includes; Citrix, VMware, AWS, Active Directory (on-premise and Azure AD), and Microsoft/Office 365. 

 

About You

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a technical background, driven to solving security problems. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 of the following qualifications and skills:

  • Prior working experience as a Security Engineer.
  • Completion of a security certification, or equivalent, like Sec+, CySA+, CCNA, GISF, GSEC etc.
  • Ability to secure endpoints and familiarity with security-hardening best practices. 
  • Ability to manage Antivirus, Host Intrusion Prevention Systems, Endpoint Detection and Response solutions.
  • Good knowledge of security and compliance frameworks, like ISO 27001, CIS, NIST CSF and C2M2. 
  • Good knowledge of Windows server and desktop operating systems (Networking Fundamentals, Peripherals, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Office 365 etc.) 
  • Experience with Enterprise level Vulnerability/Pentest solutions.
