As a Senior Vulnerability Management Reporting & Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for the ownership, maintenance, ongoing operations, and development of the reporting functions and tools related to the Enterprise Vulnerability Management program at Baker Hughes. This role will be a hybrid of a data analyst, reporting analyst, and developer, with a focus on developing and improving the Brinqa reporting tool GUI, metrics, and workflows as well as supporting maturity and growth of automation workflows.
As a Senior Vulnerability Management Reporting & Development Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and enhancement of Brinqa GUI, metrics, and workflows utilizing tools such as Neo4J, Groovy, HTML/CSS, Java.
- Reporting maintenance and expertise, ensuring coverage and quality. User account & permissions management. Analyzing vulnerability data and creating custom dashboards and metrics.
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and fixing platform bugs and escalate to vendor when necessary. Supporting and creating system administration and user guide documentation.
- Supporting continuous enhancement of enriched reporting for stakeholders (e.g., adding dashboards/views by business unit, system criticality, etc.).
- Improvising User experience: dashboard & report creation, bugs, enhancement requests. Knowledge of VM best practices and how to apply them in creating actionable reporting.
- Helping to safeguard the company's assets, intellectual property, and computer systems in support of the company's business objectives.
- Serving as a technical resource to support the mission of the Global Enterprise Vulnerability Management program at Baker Hughes.
- Working with a diverse team of technical Information Security practitioners, system owners, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Supporting the development of processes, workflows, and automation for scanning, tracking and remediation of enterprise vulnerabilities.
- Maintaining patch and vulnerability management practices to protect against the exploitation of critical vulnerabilities.
- Interpreting vulnerability assessment results and report findings to senior EVM staff as well as recommendations for remediation.
- Working amongst a team of skilled engineers & analysts to address complex or difficult problems as needed within a 24/7 Cyber Security Fusion Center environment.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or High school Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience.
- Be Proficient in one or more languages such as Python, Neo4J, Groovy, HTML/CSS, Java for development of reporting tools and automations
- Have Understanding of fundamental security and network concepts (operating systems, IPS/IDS, TCP/IP, ports, etc.)
- Have Understanding of asset management systems, configuration change management systems, and AWS/Azure cloud configurations.
- Have Experience managing and tracking vulnerability cases.Experience with Microsoft and Unix based operating systems.
- Have Experience within vulnerability management, data analytics, asset or configuration management, and/or a security operations program in a global enterprise environment.
