Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Security Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of cloud security by writing, researching, and developing Cloud Security Posture rules across multiple cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, and more. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our cloud security capabilities, ensuring our clients can operate securely in the cloud. A passion for learning, researching and motivation for becoming knowledgeable about all services across multiple cloud providers is a must.

Primary Responsibilities

• Rule Development: Create and refine Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) rules to detect misconfigurations and compliance violations across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud and more.
• Research: Continuously monitor and research new cloud security threats and trends across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Alibaba Cloud.
• Innovation: Contribute to the development of new tools, techniques and processes to improve cloud security posture, as well as speed and quality of delivery.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cloud engineers and security analysts to understand requirements and implement effective security measures.
• Customer Centricity: Analyse customer escalations about our cloud security rules, propose and implement fixes and improvements to address customer needs.
• Ownership: Take full ownership of the cloud security rule development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.

Key Skills and Experience

• Experience in developing security rules or policies for cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and security best practices for at least one major Cloud Provider (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP or Alibaba Cloud), and a willingness to learn more.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, JavaScript) and experience with automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, GDPR) as they apply to cloud environments.
