Your Opportunity  

We are looking for a recent graduate or an individual with foundational knowledge in IT security looking to launch their career. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures, monitoring our networks for security breaches, and participating in the planning and implementation of security measures to protect the organization's systems and information assets.

The ideal candidate should have strong attention to details, identifies problems within own area of remit and takes responsibility for finding an innovative solution regardless of the causes, and demonstrates proactive team working and collaboration with others, role modelling the belief that the whole of the team is greater than the sum of individual efforts.

This opportunity will be based in Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS). DANS provides air navigation services at four airports in the UAE, one of which is the world's busiest airport for international passengers, where their mission is to empower and develop all their people in delivering world-leading air navigation services that exceed every standard, assure their customers, and shape global innovation.

Key Accountabilities 

• Assist in developing and implementing IT security policies, protocols, and procedures and ensure alignment with dans security department policy.

•  Conduct regular system audits to ensure they are operating securely and efficiently.

• Collaborate with the IT department to ensure security measures are integrated within the network and information systems.

• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.

• Participate in tier 2 and tier 3 security operations support.

• Assist in conducting risk assessments and testing of data processing systems.

• Participate in security awareness training initiatives to educate employees about computer security in alignment with security department.

• Help manage security incidents and breaches, including investigation and reporting.

• Stay up to date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products to protect system security.

• Support the IT security manager in day-to-day security operations

Specific Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Basic understanding of information security principles, including firewalls, antivirus software, and identity and access management (IAM).

• Familiarity with computer network penetration testing and techniques is a plus.

• Eagerness to learn and stay current with industry trends and security best practices

• Advantageous to hold CompTIA Security+ and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
