  • Position Description:

    As an IT Audit Advisory Consultant at Peraton, you will be part of a dynamic team working to establish and drive sustainable and auditable financial and IT processes as part of Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) activities. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Designing, developing, and implementing corrective action plans (CAPs) for self-identified deficiencies (SIDs) and external Independent Public Accountant (IPA) findings.

    • Conducting CAP validation testing to ensure the successful remediation of identified deficiencies.

    • Performing baseline review assessments, such as FISCAM, to evaluate system readiness and address identified deficiencies.

    • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on the status of IT CAPs and third-party risk management, including service providers.

    • Developing risk-based approaches to prioritize IT findings.

    • Providing advisory services for Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, supporting system team IT control implementations in alignment with financial management overlays.

    • Integrating leading practices for IT audit remediation to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

    Qualifications

    2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Active TS/SCI clearance adjudication, and ability to pass a poly
    • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ of professional IT experience. an additional 4 years of expereince my be considered in lieu of a degree. 
    • Ability to learn IT general controls (ITGC), Financial Information System Control Audit Manual (FISCAM), and National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication (NIST) 800-53v4
    • Ability to understand IT audit finding recommendations to translate those requirements to functional/technical stakeholders
    • Ability to understand business processes in order to develop and implement new controls to mitigate or remediate identified IT audit gaps

     

    Desired Qualifications: 

    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Experience with effective policy, instruction, and development for Federal or DoD Information Security Programs
    • Experience with performing Security Control Assessment in compliance with NIST SP 800- 37, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, and other NIST 800 guide series
    • Experience with risk analysis and assessment determinations incorporating system/mission owner, and unique operational constraints
    • Experience with Xacta
    • Experience with CSAM

    Target Salary Range

    $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
